How to connect multiple bluetooth devices to Laptop using bluetooth USB adapter?

Is it possible to connect two bluetooth devices to my Laptop using a USB bluetooth adapter and use them both at once?
At the moment I use a USB bluetooth adapter and “Toshiba Bluetooth Stack for Windows” software to stream music wirelessly to my speakers from my Laptop via a “Belkin Tunestage” and would like to connect a wireless bluetooth mouse to the Laptop to use as well.
Is this possible? If so how would I do it?
