Dell Inspiron 531 Sound Doesn’t Work?
When I first got this, i got a bluetooth headset with it, which worked fine, but when the guys came to hook the computer up to the internet, the bluetooth didn’t work.
I tried plug-in headphones, and though the computer acknowledges that a jack has been plugged in, no sounds come through.
Also, on the bottom right hand corner of the screen (on the black bar that goes across the bottom of the screen) theres a little sound symbol with a red x on it, and if you run the mouse over it, it comes up with “the audio service is not running”
And also, randomly, whenever i try to access my control panel, either it doesn’t come up, or it does, with a blank screen.

Go to the control panel and search sound devices. See if there is a problem with the sound driver.
