How do I use my laptop’s BlueTooth function?

My laptop (Dell Inspiron 1525) has a little light near the charging/hard drive light that has the bluetooth insignia on it. I’m wondering if this means I have the function, or the availability of the function. can someone help? I can’t find any bluetooth software ANYWHERE on my computer (Control Panel, HD, etc.)
