Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse 5000

What batteries are recommend for the microsoft bluetooth notebook mouse 5000?

I have a 3 month old microsoft bluetooth mouse 5000, It was working fine with some rechargeable batteries but the charge broke so i can’t use them anymore, the charger is just too expensive.
Does anyone know which batteries work for this mouse?
I have bought 3 different types and NONE of them work. Panasonic and just some other cheap batteries.. Alkaline panasonic ones th other kinds are zinc.
If you have the mouse which batteries do you use? and about how many hours do they last (if used constantly)?
Oh I just remembered, when i do plug in batteries the light will flas green wait 3-5 seconds then flash green again. It keeps repeating this but it seems lke the green lght isn’t as bright s it was before… But it could just be my imagination.
Does that mean i have the wrong batteries, or would this be an actual problem with the mouse?

Try cleaning the connectors and plugin the AAA batteries. If that doesn’t work, it could have been damaged and unusable now unless a local computer store can fix it.

I would have went with the Logitech mice instead. They know how to build them better with longer lasting batteries.
