Need help with bluetooth headset?

Ok, i’ve got an orb bluetooth headset for my PS3 but the problem is i can’t make it stay red. I have followed the instructions but it just doesn’t work. I even tried it with full battery but it is not working. I managed to do it once but even then i was having problem, When i was scanning, my PS3 did not pickup and connections. Please Help.

maybe it’s broken ?
you need to get it in pairing mode before you can scan for it or it’s invisible .
