Retro Bluetooth Phone

Why is the nokia 6310i, such a good phone?

I may be a bit retro, but I still have and use this phone on a daily basis. The one I have is 4 years old, it has all the new features like bluetooth and email capability, but lacks all the bells and whistles of newer phones, saying that, the battery once lasted me over a week without charge…..I have treated it harshly, dropped it many, many times, got it wet, pretty much guarenteed death for modern phones. why was this phone so ahead of it’s time? Why do current models not measure up?
