Yamaha Bluetooth Speaker

how can i get music from my laptop to play through my stereo receiver at home?

My home stereo is a Yamaha and i have the Yamaha YBA-10WH bluetooth adapter hooked up. My and my wife’s phone both play music through it just fine. My old Dell Latitude worked, too. But I cant get my Dell Vostro (win xp) or wife’s Toshiba Satellite (win vista) to work with it. We’re using the same dongles i used on my Latitude, pairing went smoothly, the adapter shows up in bluetooth devices on the puters, and the stereo shows “connected” but no sound comes out of the stereo using either iTunes on the Toshiba or Media Player on the Dell. Sound does still play on each laptop’s speakers.

Try to redirect sound from a Default device to your new USB one.
1) go to:
Start –> Control Panel –> Sounds and Audio Devices –> Audio
2) change the “Default Device” to the proper one.
